KÓDY ®IVOTA – THE LAST FORECAST
Jus De La Vie (dance/physical theatre – Sweden)
world premiére

Five men are trying to survive in a society where the individuality is forbidden. What happens to them at the moment when they stop to be prisoners? When all of a sudden nobody orders them what to do?
The dramaturgy of the performance is shrewdly playing with human behaviour. The burning theme is presented in the form a grotesque cabaret emanating humanity. The choreography works with everyday gestures, sharp changes in emotional tone and a contrast between the unbound movement and its limits.
The world premiére of a performance by former DV8 Physical Theatre members Jordi Cortes and Charlotta Öfverholm from Sweden „Kódy ¾ivota/The Last Forecast“ is reflecting the totalitarian remains in the Eastern bloc, and is inspired by Charlotta Öfverholm´s stay in the Czech Republic.

Masterpiece, dance on the highest level…
 Vadstena Tidning, Sweden

At last the Swedes came and shaked Pfefferberg up… Over and over again testing their limits of physical possibilities by putting the barriers higher and higher… …consequently looking for the maximum possibilities of expression. All movements, in which you can read real craftwork of modern dance, tell of the pleasure in giving everything to its ultimate extreme without tearing yourself or the audience apart.
Die Tageszeitung, Germany

Strong personal tone gives the dancers a chance to take the commando over their bodies in flowing relaxed, but also explosive dance...
Anna Ångström, Svenska Dagbladet about preview, Sweden

Compagnie Jus De La Vie stands as an important platform for dance and physical theatre in Sweden. Its activities were started in Stockholm in 1995 under the leadership of Charlotta Öfverholm. Since then, important world choreographers such as Sean Curran (Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane, New York), Roberto Galván (Buenos Aires), Joseph Tmim (Batsheva, Tel Aviv), John-Paul Zaccarini (DV8, London), Ziv Frenkel (Kresnik, Kibbutz, Israel) and Guido Tuveri (Italy) participated in the work of the ensemble. Compagnie Jus De La Vie creates brutal, but also emotionally touching physical theatre and dance.
